What is the principle of air purifier?

To illustrate the effectiveness of air purifiers, the first question to answer is whether air purifiers can remove pollutants from solid or gaseous forms in the air. This will be clear from the principle of the purifier. For fine particulate matter, air purifiers need to do something to allow fine particles to stay in the filter. There are a lot of ways to stop the particulate matter, and in the end, the particulate matter is in two different ways: the particles have hit themselves, or the filter has some force that traps the particles. The former is naturally more effective for larger particles, and the latter is more effective for smaller particles. And two ways of combining hard to filter out, is the small particulate matter -- that is used in the calibration filter efficiency standards for fine particulate matter (aerodynamic diameter particles of 0.3 microns). The two filtration principles are applied to the filter of the consumable filter. In the case of high-voltage electrostatic filter without consumable materials, the main method is adsorption.

For gaseous pollutants, the feasible method is only activated carbon. The possible improvement method is to add catalysts to the active carbon adsorption, which can be decomposed in the form of dissolved formaldehyde and other gaseous organic matter, thereby increasing the cumulative purification of the filter.

All in all, according to different pollutants, the basic principle of air purifier is constantly make indoor air circulation, and in some ways to get the air pollutants adsorption on the screen, then the filtered air discharge, cycle, from pollution sources, in order to achieve purification.
